Enrapture by Rachel Van Dyken

Trace is everything.
My freaking world.
And I would do anything to keep her safe.
But, I can't protect her from every kind of evil..and I can no longer keep the past a secret...
We were left folders.
Each one filled with the sins of our pasts.
And Traces grandfather just asked us to read his.
There was no preparation.
And now I'm wondering if I should have let the love of my life read it at all, because some things can't be unsaid, some words stay with us forever.
I know, from this day forward, nothing will ever be the same.

Rachel Van Dyken is the author of regency and contemporary romances. When she's not writing you can find her drinking coffee at Starbucks and plotting her next book while watching The Bachelor.

She keeps her home in Idaho with her Husband, adorable son, and two snoring boxers! She loves to hear from readers!

“Would you like to see the rest of the house, Joyce?”
“Why do you do that?”
“Do what?” He frowned.
“Say my name every time you address me.”
Luca quickly averted his eyes, something I’d seen him do possibly once in all our time we’d known each other — right before he’d invited me up to his apartment and made love to me for the first time. He was nervous.
“Luca?” I prompted.
“Because…” His voice was gruff. “…I don’t get to say it often enough — your name.” He licked his lips, his eyes still staring hard at the dirt clinging to his polished black Prada shoes. “If I said your name every second of every day for the rest of my life, it still wouldn’t be enough. Saying your name is like saying a prayer. Sometimes, I think it’s the only prayer God hears these days. Your name is a promise, a vow. It’s also a reminder that no matter what hell I’ve gone through, heaven still exists.”

The Initiation by Kristin Vayden

It wasn’t blood in…no out.
It was death the moment were initiated with the mob and a living hell from that moment on. I knew, because it was my hell. But I wanted…no I needed out.
I had watched it suck the life from my father till nothing was left but the ashes from betrayal, and I wanted more.
So I made a deal, one that got me shot. But the nurse made up for the injury—Daphne had always teased my dreams, out of reach but close enough to tease me with the fantasy of what if. But what if…was now my reality and there was no way I was giving it up.
So I called in a favor…to the Mafia.
Made a deal with the devil, to save my soul.
And if it works, I’ll die…so that I’ll have a chance at really living.

Kristin's inspiration for the romance she writes comes from her tall, dark and handsome husband with killer blue eyes. With five children to chase, she is never at a loss for someone to kiss, something to cook or some mess to clean but she loves every moment of it! She loves to make soap, sauerkraut, sourdough bread and gluten free muffins. Life is full of blessings and she praises God for the blessed and abundant life He's given her. “Love is never simple, sweetheart. There’s complications, obstacles, decisions that must be made, priorities that have to be established… but when it’s real love, you’ll find everything will fall into place because love puts the other ahead of itself. Love replaces fear with faith. It destroys indecision with loyalty, breaks through every barrier because it’s stronger, wiser, more courageous than anything else you’ll face, because from that point on, you face everything together."

ICE by Elise Faber

One night of weakness five years ago turned out to be the biggest mistake of Laila’s life.
The sex with her coworker, and then commander, Ryker had been hot. But the ensuing strain of having to work with him, having to see him seduce and sleep with other women tore her heart from her chest and crushed it beneath his military-grade boot.
Now they’re on a mission together and she’s running command. Her damaged heart would like to make him pay, but her body isn’t so sure, especially when Ryker apologizes and tries to make things right between them.
Can Laila put aside the past, if it means another chance — a real one this time — with Ryker? Or will those old wounds never heal? And when their mission goes awry, will they even survive to have a shot at that future?

When she’s not writing bestselling dark and sexy paranormal romances, Elise is often found on the ice rink where she and her husband hold regular hockey date nights. She is the mom to two exuberant boys and addicted to Dancing With the Stars. The beaches, mountains and redwood forests of Northern California serve as inspiration for her books. He wrapped his arms around her in return, maybe a little too low for a friendly hug.
But with Laila sprawled out atop him, reminding him how perfectly they fit, it was impossible to not grab her hips and bring her even closer.
She melted for a moment then, as though suddenly coming back into herself — or probably feeling the erection he had no hope of hiding — released him.
“Really?”
“Wish I could say it was a one-off, but it’s a pretty common problem for me when you’re around.”

Release day - FLAME

Today is the release day for Flame by Erin Noelle. This is the 2nd book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. For teasers of flame, click Here

I’m soaring.

After years of hard work and determination, I am exactly where I want to be in life. As the top ranked Freestyle Motocross rider in the world, I have more money than I could ever dream of spending and gorgeous women throwing themselves at me in every city I land. I have everything I could ever want.

Everything except her.

While in Breckenridge for my best friend’s wedding, I was introduced to Dakota Shavell, a friend of the bride-to-be, and from the moment our blue gazes met, sparks flew.

What I initially intended to be a single steamy night together turned into a scorching two week road trip to New Orleans with a sassy-mouthed blonde. Being between her legs gave me a bigger adrenaline rush than I’d ever gotten from flying through the air while straddling a bike.

It was supposed to just be fun, a good time. I planned to walk away unchanged.

But it was more. Feelings I never intended to have got involved, and I’ll never be the same.

Yet, I still walked away.

Except now I’m injured and my outlook has changed. Priorities have become clear.

And I’m going back to reclaim her…to show her that together we can make the fire between us burst into flames.

Erin Noelle is a Texas native, where she lives with her husband and two young daughters. While earning her degree in History at the University of Houston, she rediscovered her love for reading that was first instilled by her grandmother when she was a young child.
A lover of happily-ever-afters, both historical and current, Erin is an avid reader of all romance novels.

El Pinto Mexican food restaurant is the fucking bomb. A combination of gorgeous, sprawling hacienda-style ambiance, delicious authentic New Mexico cuisine, mouth-watering pitchers of house fresh margaritas, and a fun-loving, exuberant group of people sitting with me around a patio table. My cheeks hurt from the permanent smile that’s been stamped across my face since the moment we stepped under the vine-covered arch and through the glass double doors. After several big O’s on the trek down here, and then this phenomenal meal, I’d have to say my impromptu summer road trip has started out a tremendous success.
“So you seriously know nothing about motocross or dirt bikes? You’ve never seen anything on TV like X-Games? Red Bull X-Fighters? Metal Mulisha? You don’t have any brothers into this stuff?” Gunner gawks at me in utter disbelief while the four of us finish our last drinks at the restaurant before heading back to Sandia Motocross Park, where the bus is parked.
Tapping my chin, I pretend to think for a moment then shake my head. “I mean I’m familiar with what the X-Games are. I do live in Colorado, the winter action sports mecca, but I don’t know anything specifically about motocross other than you ride a motorcycle on a dirt track stupidly fast and do crazy-ass stunts while flying through the air.”
Emilia bursts out laughing at my oversimplified explanation of what her husband and Levi do for a living, but the two guys are still in shock at my revelation. It’s like they’ve never met anyone else who isn’t up to date on all their lingo and shit. I should’ve never asked why people made that braaappp noise at the wedding…
“Oh, and I do have one brother,” I add, “but he’s eight and likes to snowboard in the winter and fish in the summer. If any of my sisters were into dirt bikes, it’d be Juno. She’s the athletic one—but softball and volleyball are more her thing.”
Another peculiar look from Gunner. “How many sisters do you have?”
“Five. There are seven of us total. All from the same parents, who yes, are still married.” I answer the questions I know are coming before he even asks. Everyone is always intrigued by the size of my family, especially in this day and age. “My family is a little…unconventional.”
“A little?” Emilia scoffs. “You call your parents by their first names, and you grew up on a weed farm! You’ve got the coolest fucking family ever. Plus, you all look like Barbie dolls! When I used to dream about running away from home, I either wanted to be a trapeze artist in the circus or a Shavell sister.”
Snickering, I wrap my lips around my straw and suck in the chilled, tangy strawberry margarita. “Either way, you would’ve been joining a circus. There’s never a dull moment in a house with ten people in it.”
“Sunshine,” Levi leans over to me, resting his hand on the inside of my thigh, right below the frayed hem of my shorts, “I promise I want to learn all about your family. They sound cool as fuck—especially the part about the weed farm—but can we get back to where you said motocross is driving fast and doing stupid, crazy-ass stunts while flying through the air? ’Cause if you’re gonna be my girl on this trip, we need to give you a crash course tonight in all things motocross, so you can truly appreciate my awesomeness when you see me in action.”
I blink hard. His girl? Did he already dip his grubby hand into Grams’ special cookies?
“Hulk,” I lift my hand up to cradle his chin, bringing my face close to his, “I’ve already appreciated your awesomeness in action earlier today, and it had nothing to do with dirt bikes. So unless you want to show me how you can eat dessert on one, I’ll pass on the crash course and embrace my lingo ignorance.”
His eyes grow wide at my suggestion, and suddenly, the space between my mouth and his is gone, obliterated by a searing, possessive kiss. My lips part on a quick inhale of surprise, and he takes full advantage of my momentary vulnerability, sliding his tongue into my mouth to tangle with mine.
Everyone and everything around us fades away while his hypnotic lips move over mine. The world could come crashing down all around us right now, and the only thing I’d be concerned about is how to prolong the mind-boggling way he makes me feel each time he kisses me. It’s like the first time every time. Pounding heart. Trembling hands. Fluttering belly. Sizzling core.

Release day - STRONG ENOUGH

StrongEnough-LaunchPostHeader

Release day, Strong Enough by M. Leighton. This is the 1st book in the Tall, Dark, and Dangerous trilogy.

StrongEnough-Cover-250w

How would I describe myself? Well, I’m Muse Harper. I’m a twenty-something painter who loves red wine, quirky movies, and men with a fatal flaw. But that was before I met Jasper King. He became my fatal flaw. Eight months ago, I had a choice to make—abandon everything I’ve ever known to protect my family, or stay and risk someone getting hurt. I chose the former. My plan was working just fine until I found out my father had gone missing.

That’s when I met Jasper. A bounty hunter with the eyes of a tiger and the nose of a bloodhound, he was supposed to help me find my father. What I didn’t know was that meeting him was no accident. Hunting people isn’t all that Jasper does. And helping me was only part of his plan. I just wish I’d found out sooner, before my heart got involved. But even then, I don’t know if I’d have done things differently.

Now, I have another choice to make—trust the man that I’m falling in love with and hope that he’ll do the right thing, or run as far away from him as I can get. And is he strong enough to let her?

Is she strong enough to trust the most dangerous man she’s ever met? And is he strong enough to let her?

Excerpt

Nico Vitale was kneeling in one of the pews at St. Monica’s, praying for his mother and father. They’d been gone two years, but the pain of losing them still lingered. He had only been twenty-eight when they’d been killed, and he’d expected to have them for many more years, to give them the daughter-in-law and grandchildren they had wanted. Their future had been stolen. From all of them. He forced down the fury that had become all too familiar. Anger was good. Productive. It’s what drove him to seek justice, to right the wrong perpetrated against his family, against the honor code that had survived decades under the rule of some of history’s most violent men. But this wasn’t the place for anger. This was the place for peace. Repentance. He took a deep breath and tired to calm himself. His mother had always gone to St. Patrick’s, but Nico made a point of moving around the city, sitting in any church with an open door. He liked the anonymity of it. Liked knowing that no one would know him or remember his parents. His faith was only a shadow of the belief that had sustained them. Nico didn’t believe in the edicts of the Church. It had been organized by man to benefit man. He worshipped his own god, and his god didn’t turn the other cheek. He might forgive, but that forgiveness didn’t preclude a punishment justly earned. Still, he liked to sit in silence and remember, to send love to his parents, wherever they were, and to stand on the side of any god who believed in vengeance. He was reciting the Lord’s Prayer when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He instinctively shook off the hand. When he turned to see who had interrupted him, he was even less pleased. “What is it, Dante?”He forced his voice even as he took in the leather jacket and jeans worn by the man in front of him. A dress code was part of Nico’s organizational reboot, but keeping cool was a point of pride, part of his mission to remake his father’s business for the twenty-first century. And having a reputation for being calm only made him more formidable when the situation called for his wrath. Dante shifted in his seat, his face flushed, eyes feverish with excitement. “We got her,”he said. “We got the girl.” Nico looked around before tipping his head at the church’s massive double doors. “Not here.” Dante stood, hurrying down the aisle. Nico followed slowly, letting the peace of the church wash over him as he made his way out the door. He took his time following Dante down the steps of the church. When they reached the sidewalk, they stepped back to stand near an adjacent building. “Any trouble?”Nico asked. Dante shook his head. “She didn’t see it coming.” Nico didn’t like the note of excitement in Dante’s voice. Nico’s father had ingrained old-fashioned chivalry in his bones, and Nico never sanctioned hurting women. These kinds of things were a necessary part of doing business, not something he enjoyed. “You didn’t hurt her.”It wasn’t a question. Dante sighed, and Nico caught a hint of annoyance in the other man’s face before he could hide it. “We did it just like you said. Knocked her out, put her in the van, took her to the basement. She’s fine.” Nico nodded. “Good. Make sure she’s comfortable.” “Comfortable?”Dante’s laugh was bitter. “Why do we care if that bitch is comfortable?” Nico clamped a hand on Dante’s shoulder and squeezed until he flinched. “We don’t call women bitches in this organization. Ever. Understand?” Dante nodded, his eyes lit with the fire of indignation. “Good.”Nico released his grip. “Now go make the pick-up.” “Will do.”Dante rolled his shoulders, like doing so would free him of Nico’s grip when they both knew only death or dishonor would do that. “Want a ride back to the office?” “No.”He didn’t owe Dante an explanation. Dante nodded and headed for the car double parked at the curb. Nico watched him get in and drive away. He waited for the car to disappear into traffic before he started walking. Dante was a problem. Nico understood it, but he was still trying to settle on a strategy for dealing with it. He knew Dante resented him. That Dante believed his father, Gabriel Santoro, should have been Underboss to Nico’s father before his death. If that had been the case, Dante’s father would be Boss now, and Dante himself would be the crown prince of the New York territory. Instead, a year before his death Nico’s father had inexplicably turned to Nico, pleading with him to step in as Underboss. Only twenty-seven at the time, Nico wasn’t ready to take on the mantel of responsibility held by his father. He didn’t even believe in the mob. Not the way it was then; stealing and killing and raping in the name of money. In the name of power. But his father had been unsettled. Even Nico, as young and wrapped up in himself as he’d been at the time, could see that. And his father -- his family -- meant everything to him. So he’d gotten his act together and joined the business, learning it from the inside out. He was just beginning to feel like he had a handle on the basic operations when his parents were murdered, execution style, outside the restaurant where they’d met over three decades ago. They had been celebrating their thirty-second anniversary. Nico had spent the two years since remaking his father’s legacy. Raneiro Donati, head of the Syndicate that acted as governing body to criminal organizations all over the world, had stepped in as a mentor and father figure, guiding Nico through the early stages of grief and the rage that threatened to undo him. Gradually, Nico had found a focus for his fury, and he’d poured every ounce of his energy into targeting that focus and reimagining his father’s legacy. Some of Nico’s soldiers embraced the change. Others, like Dante, clung to the old ways. Nico understood, but the reorganization wasn’t optional. They would comply or they would be gone. Nico didn’t like taking the girl. A decade ago, something like that would be off the table, a blatant breaking of rules that had been in place since before the Syndicate formally existed. But nothing could be rebuilt without first dismantling the rotting foundation of what had come before. And unfortunately, the girl was part of that foundation. He checked for traffic on 2nd Avenue and crossed just before a taxi barreled through the intersection. He felt liberated by his time at the church. Lighter on his feet. Maybe he would call one of the women who acted as a physical companion when he felt the urge. After all, he wasn’t a saint.

Interview

1. Can you tell us a few perks of writing with other authors on a series like this? At times we were like the three friends in the story!
2. If you had to pick the perfect summer destination, where would it be? Point Pleasant on the Jersey Shore. My sister and I have rented a house there for the past 5 years. My husband doesn't like the beach so he doesn't mind that I go without him. I read all day on the beach and then at night my sister and I go to dinner, sing karaoke or watch a band.
3. I know it's hard to choose, but can you share a favorite line from your book? Uh-oh, Tears. I should run while I had the chance but I stood rooted to my spot, fascinated by the way her eyes seem to swim in sunshine.

Excerpt

From my spot in the parking lot, I whistled at the rare beauty. Sleek and sexy, the sunlight shone off her curves. She hummed like a dream. Man, I wanted to take her for a long, fast ride.
Then like something out of a wet dream, she slid out of the dark blue 1968 Mustang Shelby GT.
I was a breast man, pure and simple. As a lifeguard for six years, I’d seen plenty. From small and perky to large and full, I didn’t discriminate. I loved the feel of the soft flesh in my hands and the way they felt pressed against my chest during sex. Loved the gentle moan of a woman responding to my mouth sucking on her nipple.
The blonde, though, had her breasts hiding behind a gold t-shirt. In white lettering the word ‘Angel’ stretched across the front. For my sake, I hoped that wasn’t true.
Because the white micro-mini skirt she wore left her long, shapely legs bare. An image of those legs wrapped around me, pulling me in deeper, revved my engines.
A woman who could handle the piece of American muscle she drove could definitely handle mine. Man, I wanted to take the blonde for a long, slow ride.
I had to meet the owner of the hot rod and of that smoking bod, but I had no business pursuing a relationship. With the promise to my parents to wait four years fulfilled, at this summer’s end I’d be sweating it out in basic training, then heading off to God only knew. Luckily most rich girls didn’t seem to have a problem with a summer fling with a local who wasn’t husband material. I’d learned that the hard way. Twice. With a car worth about a hundred grand, she had to be loaded. She’d break my heart without a thought. Three times a charm.
Unable to stop myself, I jumped out of my Jeep and followed her into the drugstore. Spotting the flowing mane of hair, I covertly entered the next aisle over and pretended to shop. I’d been with plenty of blondes, but she didn’t seem like the typical stuck up, wealthy Hampton summer resident. I liked that she wasn’t overly made up like all the girls who descended on my hometown each summer. I doubted she thought about makeup before hitting the beach. She was…what was the word? Breezy. Natural. Mine.
She looked up, our gazes meeting over the shelving that separated the aisle. Despite being caught staring, I couldn’t look away. The light brown eyes peeking back at me reminded me of the sun setting over the ocean after a sweltering day.

Meet Nick Kenzy...
After two years of working my ass off as a Wall Street analyst, I’m out of a job, with no warning, no thank you, and no severance. Am I angry? You’re damn right I am. So when I head to the Hamptons for the weekend to spend time with my granddad, I plan to regroup and relax before I return to the city to hit the job search hard. I don’t need any distractions. Then I meet Leigh. Suddenly, a summer temptation makes me question everything I want for my future...

Occupation: In May I graduated summa cum laude from Penn State. Come September, I’ll be starting a job in the New York City office of Hollis and Hamilton, the largest and most prestigious public relations firm in the country. At least that’s the plan…assuming I’m not pregnant. If I am…well…I may have to re-think taking on such a demanding, high profile position and all the travel that comes with it.
Status: Single and I’m fine with that.
Hobbies: Reading! I’m happiest alone in a quiet spot with my Kindle.
Likes: Any wine from Storme’s family vineyard, senior citizens, because I love hearing about their life experiences, and spending time with family and close friends.
Dislikes: Loud bars or parties filled with rude drunks, disrespectful people, and olives.
3 words that describe me: Hmmm. I’d have to say practical, thoughtful, and hardworking. I sound boring, but I’m not. Really!
Favorite quote: I don’t know who said it initially, but my favorite quote is: Be better than you were yesterday.

Interview

1. How did the idea for this series come about?
Liz Matis, Jennifer Probst and I are all members of Hudson Valley RWA (Romance Writers of America). We met and became friends at the monthly meetings. It was Liz who came up with the idea for a Hot in the Hamptons series – mostly so she could finally write her hunky lifeguard fantasy! She found the covers for the books and then invited Jen and me to participate. This was about two years ago. It’s taken until 2015 for us to work out our writing schedules.
2. Can you tell us a few perks of writing with other authors on a series like this?
First off, Liz and Jen were wonderful to work with. It was great bouncing ideas around. Our first in person meeting was at Chili’s over lunch. (I had the bacon ranch chicken quesadillas.) When we completed our manuscripts we each reviewed all three for series continuity, plot problems, and to make sure they were the best they could be. Our second in person meeting to finalize distribution and promotion took place at Jen’s house because she lives about halfway between us. Jen served a delicious quiche and salad lunch! I brought fruit. (Can you tell I’m writing this just before dinner and I’m starving?!!) One of the best things about writing a series with other authors (assuming the other authors are as awesome as Jen and Liz!) was that any time I had a question or problem, there was always someone there, familiar with the story, to help me work through it. Also, since Summer Temptation is my first self-publishing project, I had a lot of questions. And Jen and Liz have helped me every step of the way.
3. If you had to pick the perfect summer destination, where would it be?
Okay, you wouldn’t know it to look at me, because I’m more prone to pink than tan, but I love the beach! I love the smell of the ocean and warm summer breezes and listening to/watching the waves roll in. I’ve vacationed in the Hamptons once, many years ago, and the beaches were beautiful. Since having children, I’ve been to Myrtle Beach, Cape Cod, and the Jersey Shore. How about you? What’s your favorite beach?

Being fresh out of college, about to start your dream job, and winding up pregnant isn’t the end of the world, I told myself, again, as I slowed down to avoid rear-ending the car in front of me. I’d survived worse, like losing my mom and older brother in a tragic car accident when I was only twelve years old. Like almost losing Grandpa Carl, who was like a second father to me, after he’d suffered a stroke three months ago and almost losing my dad, the most important person in my world, to a heart attack a few weeks after that.
I could survive being pregnant at the age of twenty-one.
I could raise a child on my own.
If it turned out I was, in fact, pregnant.
Technically, at the moment, I was only late…going on six weeks late, the tardiness of my period unprecedented since my entrance into womanhood. The last few months had been crazy hectic and stressful which surely explained my current…irregularity.
I mean, in addition to dealing with dad’s and grandpa’s health crises, I’d successfully presented final projects and aced final exams to graduate summa cum laude from Penn State. After sending out twenty-nine resumĂ©s and attending twenty-seven job interviews in five different states over the past six weeks, I’d landed a coveted position in the NYC office of Hollis and Hamilton, the largest and most prestigious public relations firm in the country.
Anyone’s system would be a little messed up after all that.
I glanced in my side mirror, then over my shoulder, before steering into the left lane to pass a truck, wondering how my employer would react to finding out the one new hire they’d allotted themselves, who they’d chosen from hundreds of applicants, was pregnant. Rather than working long hours and jetting across the country at a moment’s notice, I would soon need time off for doctors’ appointments, maternity leave, and childcare issues. The thought of that conversation sat heavy in my gut – for sure the reason I suddenly felt queasy and in desperate need to escape my car.

Summer fun before my wedding...
I have one goal this summer. Hang with my besties for some much needed sun, sand, and relaxation while I put the final touches on my idyllic wedding. I didn't count on meeting a smart-mouthed, bad boy biker whose gaze burns hotter than a beach bonfire. I never planned to lose myself, body and soul, and question my entire future. Now, I have to make a choice that’s tearing me apart, and could shatter the lives of the two men I love...
Turns into summer sins....
I have one goal this summer. CHILL. Do nothing. Nada. I need simple before I have to head into Manhattan to take on a high powered position on Wall Street. I didn't count on a dark haired, inky- eyed spitfire who'd spin my world upside down, or make me burn for things I never thought I wanted. I vowed to make her my summer fling, but had no idea she was claimed by another. And now that she possessed not only my body but my soul, the stakes are too high for me to lose her...
Love burns hotter in the Hamptons. Come play.

Character Profile

Name: Storme Sullivan
Location: StonyBrook, NY
Occupation: Works at her parent's vineyard, Drink It In Style
Status: Engaged. For now.
Hobbies: fashion design
Likes: her best girlfriends Kelsey and Leah, sewing, designing clothes, her family
Dislikes: Arrogance, laziness, and Holden Fox. for now.
Favorite quote: I love the way Storme is full of sass and can challenge Holden every step of the way!
I bared my teeth and took my hit. “No. There’s no teasing when I decide I want to sleep with someone.” I licked my lips deliberately and gave him a full-on, pouty, I-want-to-do-you-right-now look. “I like a ride harder and faster than you or your motorcycle can ever give. Sugar. Have a good night.”

Interview

1. Can you tell us a few perks of writing with other authors on a series like this?
I loved the camaraderie and fun writing Summer Sins with two great writers and friends. We brainstormed, shared ideas, and I feel created a unique reading experience - three books linked for extra bonuses, yet able to stand alone. It was also nice to have other ideas and opinions, which helps writing projects remain fresh. Basically, it was a fabulous experience!
2. If you had to pick the perfect summer destination, where would it be?
Sigh. I love summer, it's my fave season. I also love travelling so this is a tough one, but I'm consistently drawn back to Cape May, NJ. Besides the beach, which I adore, they have a beautiful town filled with Victorian houses painted in bright peacock colors, horse and carriages, great shopping, and great food. Picture yourself on a big wraparound porch, sitting in a rocker, looking at the beach, sipping homemade lemonade and reading a book. It's the perfect getaway experience.
3. I know it's hard to choose, but can you share a favorite line from your book?
It is very hard to choose! Storme and Holden had so much heat and sizzling banter, sometimes my fingers would burn on the keyboard haha! But there was something about her jumping on his motorcycle for a ride that I just loved...

Excerpt
I pulled up in my cherry red convertible, cut the engine, and stared up at my parents’ Hamptons estate where I planned to spend the summer. An odd combination of excitement and unease coursed through me. Probably too much stuff going on at once. After all, not many people graduated from college and got married within a few months. At least, no one that I knew. Worrying I might be making the biggest mistake of my life was normal, right?

I sighed, slid my Tori Burch sunglasses on top of my head, and got out of the car. I hated whining. Drama was okay for a good cause, but endless bitchy whining was completely lame. It wasn’t as if I didn’t love Phillip. He was perfect for me, my best friend, and my parents were banking on bringing our families together to merge a vineyard dynasty. My life kind of reminded me of a late-night soap, a remake on the new Dallas, but with wine instead of oil. The only thing lacking was a hot affair and stinging betrayal.

I grabbed my leopard print luggage, pulled it out of the backseat, then made my way up the patio. My two best girlfriends and co-maids of honor, Kelsey and Leigh, would be spending a few weeks here, and I couldn’t wait. We’d met freshman year at Penn State when we discovered we were all roommates. Packed like sardines into a dorm room meant for two, we’d bonded immediately. They’d become like my sisters, and I hated the idea of us being split up when the summer was over. I pushed the thought out of my mind. No worrying about the future. For now, I had the place to myself to set up, and with my parents and my fiancĂ©, Phillip, in California, I was finally alone. It was a heady feeling I wanted to savor, since it rarely happened. Kind of embarrassing. Twenty-two years old, and I’d never been on my own. Even in college, Phillip and my parents were constantly checking on me, showing up with odd visits, and calling consistently about my family’s business, Drink It In Style Vineyards.

But finally I was here, with no maids, cooks, or guardians checking on my well-being. Just an entire summer ahead with my best friends, sun, sand, and relaxation. Amidst planning my wedding, of course, which was only a mere eight weeks away. There may be endless details to confirm, but I intended to have fun and kick back for the first time in a long while.
